Sacramento Choral Society Holds TENOR and SOPRANO Auditions for 2011-2012 Season

Would you like to sing Sir William Walton’s “Belshazzar’s Feast,” Bernstein’s “Chichester Psalms,” great Cathedral classics, along with a spectacular Christmas concert? The Sacramento Choral Society & Orchestra and Music Director Donald Kendrick are currently holding membership auditions for Tenors and Sopranos only for their 2011-2012 Concert Season. The chorus rehearses September through May on Monday evenings from 7 – 9:30 PM. The Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra is celebrating its 16th year of performances in the Capital Region with concerts in the Sacramento Community Center Theater, the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Fremont Presbyterian Church and the Mondavi Center. Join us for a blockbuster season continuing the tradition of large choral and orchestral works for the Sacramento community.

The SCSO is comprised of over 180 singers from six counties in the Sacramento region. An accountable arts organization since 1996, the SCSO has won numerous awards for its work in the Capital Region. As well as presenting their own concerts, the SCSO has produced 4 highly-acclaimed CDs and has also performed with the Boston Pops Orchestra, Sarah Brightman’s World Tour, the Kenny Rogers Christmas Show and on national and international concert stages in Carnegie Hall, Disney Hall, Europe, Canada and China.
